Fell in Love with Menka:-
After
making Paradise for King Trishanku, The King of heaven Indra / Indra Dev /
Devendra became angry. And he send Menaka to stop the Tapasya (Austerity) of
Biswamitra and Pairing in love trap and awake sexuality so that he can break
his tapasya. Menaka is the most beautiful Apsara(elf) of the Paradise. But Maneka was afraid of the
sage. Because the sage (Biswamitra) was a very angry person. Before Maneka,
another Apsara named Rambha also came to break the penance of the sage, but the
sage turned her into a stone. Therefore, she started thinking about her future,
that if she got the curse of the sage and she turned into a stone or a tree or
anything else, he was scared. But it was the order of the king so she have to do
this.
She
went to the deities of love Kamadeva and Rati and asked them for help, they
promise to help her to impress the sage and they promise the sage must fell in
love with Menka . After that she came to the Earth to the cottage of the sage
Biswamitra And trying to impress him. But the sage his the lust because he wanted to be
a Brahmarshi. So the failed to impress him but she tried again by singing,
dancing but she can’t impress the sage. Once she was taking a bath in a pond
and the sage was passing by the bank of the pond by chance his eye got looked
at he. At that time the god of love, Kamadeva and Rati has hit the love arrow
towords Biswamitra.
So after the arrow he really fell in love with
Menka. The elf has win first. But the sage tries to controls himself but it was
the arrow of the god of love so he can’t controls himself. He asked Menka to
marriage. Menka was happy because she wants that. They got married. But
everyday the sage doing his tapasya till late night so that day also he did that
and when he opened his eye the he saw the Moon so he feel guilty and asked
Menka to forgive him and told This was my daily practice, so it has happened
that. I will take care of them from now on.
But Menka told him, it’s ok. I have to do it my
daily habit. After that they make there love and since that they live happily.
After a year Menka gave a vbirth to a girl child. And after that Menaka told to
sage there is not much respect of apsaras in heaven they are using apsaras for
the joy of there body and mind or the joy of any guest. But you gave me the
respect to being your wife and mother of this child so that I am so happy.There
is no meaning of love in heaven.
But
once when the sage not in his cottage Indra came near to Menka and told her to
came back to the heaven because her work is completed to break the tapasya of
the sage. But Menka told that she can’t because she had married to the sage
and she has a baby girl from sage Biswamitra . But
Devendra got angry and he told that not only the sage has the power to convert
anyone to stone even I have that power also. If you not returning to the heaven
you will be turned into a stone.
Menka
began to fear. She took her child and ran to the sage. The sage was in the
jungle. When he saw Menka and her child, she became happy and said to Menka,
"Have you brought her here to show the jungle?" , Menka started
crying and told, “Indra came here and told me to back to heaven . if I not
returned then I will turned into stone”
The
sage closed his eyes and tried to know what had happened in the past. And then
he saw everything that the gods of heaven sent Maneka to break his penance.
he felt very bad and
said, "Go and take this baby girl with you too." But Menka said,
"Nobody is allowed to go to heaven with physical bodies, so I can't take
her.”
Biswamitra
said I don’t know because if she will live with me I can’t be complete my vow
to being a Brahmarshi. Then Menka said , “ will she orphan ?”, The sage said,
"When there is Sri Hari, then there is no orphan.” And the sage left from
there.
disappeared and Gone away paradise.
